Fes: Nearly 500 participants in the regional school carnival
Some 480 students from various public and private educational institutions participated, on Saturday in Fes, in the regional school carnival of the Fes-Meknes region, organized at the initiative of the Regional Academy of Education and Training with a view to highlighting the creative dynamic of educational institutions.

This event, organized under the theme "Water... secret of life and our shared responsibility," toured several squares and avenues of the Kingdom's spiritual capital.

Representatives of the nine education directorates of the region presented, on this occasion, their artistic creations, highlighting the need to conserve water as a natural resource essential to the continuation of life and to avoid behaviors and practices that lead to the waste of this vital resource.

The director of the AREF of Fes-Meknes, Fouad Arouadi, emphasized on this occasion that this event aims to highlight the creative dynamic of the region's educational institutions, reports the MAP.

He added that the carnival is part of the objectives of the 2022-2026 educational reform roadmap, "For a quality public school," which places great importance on school life activities, and the need to instill in students the values of citizenship and creativity.

The director of the AREF noted that in preparation for the regional carnival, more than 20 activities were organized in various fields (theater, music, oratory art) at the regional level, with the aim of framing educational work within educational institutions and creating an appropriate framework for working on a set of themes capable of enriching the scientific knowledge of students.

Mr. Arouadi also praised the efforts made by the educational and administrative staff of the provincial and prefectural education directorates of the region to organize creative activities focused on water conservation, adding that efforts will be further intensified by organizing a new edition of the carnival during the next school year with broad student participation.

The carnival program included artistic and recreational activities on the importance of water conservation, as well as the distribution of prizes and certificates to students who participated in competitions focusing on theater, public speaking, and music in particular.

The organization of this event is part of the implementation of the 4th program of the 2022-2026 reform roadmap and its procedural framework for the years 2024 and 2025, as well as the implementation of the regional program "Fes-Meknes Schools Festival" aimed at expanding the number of beneficiaries of parallel activities and diversifying the entertainment offer for students within the region's educational institutions.

The Fes-Meknes Academy launched the "Fes-Meknes Schools Festival" program last November, as a platform for creativity, fair competition, and positive engagement between educational and training institutions in urban and rural areas.

The program's activities cover various fields, including culture, reading, sports, robotics, science, technology, education, and the environment.
