Textile industry: Chinese group Sunrise invests 2.3 billion dirhams in Skhirat and Fez

The government has signed a major investment agreement with the Chinese group Sunrise, a world leader in textiles. A large-scale project that will allow for the creation of 8,500 jobs and the establishment of two industrial units.
The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, presided on Thursday in Rabat over the signing ceremony of an investment agreement with the Chinese group Sunrise, a world leader in the textile sector. This strategic partnership aims to strengthen Morocco's competitiveness in the textile industry by setting up two new industrial units in Skhirat and Fez.
With a total investment of 2.3 billion dirhams, this large-scale project is expected to generate 7,000 direct jobs and more than 1,500 indirect jobs, thus strengthening Morocco's position in global value chains.
