Fès- The 39th National Architect's Day opened on Tuesday in Fès, under the theme "The citizen architect facing climate change: Energy and water issues".
Initiated by the National Council of the Order of Architects (CNOA), in partnership with the Ministry of National Land Use Planning, Urbanism, Housing, and City Policy, this meeting brings together architects, experts, and decision-makers around a topical theme which is energy and water.
The opening ceremony took place in the presence of, among others, the Secretary of State in charge of Housing, Adib Benbrahim, the Wali of the Fès-Meknès Region, Governor of the Fès Prefecture, Mouad Jamai, and the governors of the prefectures and provinces of the region, as well as the president of the council of the.
The opening of this meeting was marked by the signing of a partnership agreement between the National Council of the Order of Architects of Morocco (CNOA) and the company "STRUGA", within the framework of strengthening its partnerships with actors in the construction ecosystem. This agreement, signed on the sidelines of the annual CNOA event, aims to establish a fruitful collaboration between the two entities.
In a statement to the MAP, the president of the National Council of the Order of Architects of Morocco, Chakib Benabdellah, highlighted the importance of this partnership, which is in line with the regular collaborations of the CNOA with key actors in the construction sector.
He specified that this agreement commits "STRUGA" to support the CNOA and its regional councils in providing specialized training to architects on aluminum and glass joinery and facade systems.
Mr. Benabdellah described this partnership as "assistance and training" beneficial for architects, reaffirming the CNOA's openness to "win-win" collaborations with private partners.
He recalled that the CNOA already maintains several partnerships with other private entities and that the supervisory ministry remains its main ally.
It should be recalled that this annual meeting, instituted in homage to the historic speech delivered by the late His Majesty King Hassan II on 14 January 1986 in Marrakech, was part of a context of environmental emergency this year and focuses on the central role of architects in the transition towards sustainable development and on innovative approaches to meet the growing challenges related to water stress and energy management.
