The 1st Doctoral Days of the UPF, January 24 in Fès

The 1st Doctoral Days of the UPF, January 24 in Fès
The 1st edition of the Doctoral Days of the Private University of Fès (UPF) is being held this Friday under the theme "Artificial Intelligence in Engineering Sciences and Management Sciences", according to a statement from the organisers.

The programme for this meeting, initiated by the Doctoral Studies Centre (CEDoc) of the UPF, includes presentations on the latest advances and practical applications of AI in various fields, notably health, industry, energy, urban planning, E-learning, management, economics, and much more.

In this statement, the UPF highlights the rapid advances in AI, particularly in the field of machine learning and data analysis, which are opening up new perspectives for innovation, reports the MAP.

This day is intended to "allow for a deep dive into the crucial challenges facing our planet and to discover how emerging AI technologies can contribute to mitigating these problems and building a promising future".

These aspects allow this JDIA’2025 event to offer everyone, whether a researcher, a socio-economic actor, or a technology and sustainability enthusiast, a valuable opportunity to learn, exchange ideas, and forge links with other agents of change.

In addition to plenary conferences and workshops related to scientific production and intellectual property ethics, these days will notably allow doctoral students to share their experiences, establish valuable contacts with like-minded professionals, and present the progress of their work in the form of oral communications or poster presentations.

According to the statement, the theme chosen for this meeting, along with that of sustainable development, underpins the cross-disciplinary nature of research areas within the CEDoc of the UPF.

The Doctoral Studies Centre (CEDoc) "Sciences, Engineering and Sustainable Development (SIDD)" of the Private University of Fès has been working, since its opening during the 2022-2023 academic year, to support students in preparing for their Doctorate degree on one hand, and on the other, to consolidate its positioning as a university focused on innovation and research, rooted in its territory and supporting development strategies in the engineering and management sciences sector.
