Lydec is strengthening its social commitment and extending it to the south of Morocco. A dedication strongly demonstrated by Jean Pascal Darriet, the company's Managing Director, who travelled in person to the Zagora region where an action was initiated for 5 "Douars" in Boutyouss, in the rural commune of Tinizouline.

This is part of Lydec's programme aimed at providing basic services in remote regions. Thus, in partnership with the Amrad Association for Development and Aquassistance Maroc, Lydec has ensured the supply of drinking water and electricity to the Boutyouss school.

The same establishment also benefited from the renovation of its sanitary facilities as well as the provision of multimedia equipment. The schoolchildren were not forgotten, as the stakeholders of this action gave them all the necessary school supplies as well as a donation of clothes for those in need.

Furthermore, bicycles were offered to the school, thus encouraging the pupils to return to school and consequently fighting against school dropouts in the region. This initiative was praised by the inhabitants of Boutyouss who welcomed the efforts of all the participants in this action. Referring to Lydec, "the inhabitants have not ceased to express their relief, given that after a long wait, they can now see their children continue their studies in better conditions".
