About Temsamane
Temsamane is a Moroccan rural commune in the subdivision of Driouch, in the Oriental region.
It has an urban centre, Kerouna, which is its capital, as well as a large Souk.
Temsamane also refers to the tribe attached to this commune.
It has a total population of 14,937 inhabitants (2004).
From a geographical point of view, Temsamane is located about ten kilometres south of the Mediterranean beach of Sidi Driss: it is contiguous to Mount Abarrán, known for being the starting point of the Rif War. It also overlooks the Ighzar Amekrane wadi.
Krona houses the rural administration where civil status registers and authentic deeds are kept. Krona is also known for its large Thursday market, the oldest market in the Rif.
