A former member of the House of Councillors placed in detention at the local prison in Salé for "attempted premeditated murder"

The investigating judge at the Rabat Court of Appeal has ordered the detention of a former member of the House of Councillors at the local prison in Salé, after hearing him as part of the preliminary interrogation for "attempted premeditated murder, assault and battery", a judicial source indicated.A video broadcast on YouTube shows an attack carried out against a family in the Souissi district of Rabat by unknown individuals armed with sticks and bladed weapons, who had surrounded the family's villa using trucks and cars.These acts of violence resulted in injuries to the hand of the villa's owner.Informed of this incident, the police arrested two individuals, while a third, who is on the run, is being actively sought. The judge will hear the accused again on 2 May as part of the detailed interrogation.
