The Global Shapers Casablanca Association, an initiative of the "World Economic Forum", recently organised the "Our School, Our Future" Day. This encompasses the rehabilitation of the Allal Ben Abdellah public high school located in Nouaceur, in addition to a mentoring operation (career conferences, HR workshops, and orientation). This day mobilised the Global Shapers (committed young leaders) and speakers who came to present their paths and professions to more than 200 students of the Allal Ben Abdellah high school.
"The closing of this day was marked by an intervention by Ismail Douiri, CEO of Attijariwafa bank and sponsor of the Global Shapers Casablanca. Through these conferences and the rehabilitation of the Allal Ben Abdellah high school, the Global Shapers wished to promote orientation at school through exemplarity, solidarity, and sharing," indicates a press release from the Global Shapers Casablanca. The same source underlines that "thanks to this kind of Day, it is possible to arouse vocations and encourage students so that they come out with reinforced ambitions".
Furthermore, Global Shapers Community is a non-profit foundation initiated by the World Economic Forum in order to create a network of young leaders aged under 30 at the time of their selection.
The Global Shapers are chosen for their exceptional abilities to bring positive change to their communities. They are organised into a network of local hubs based in every major city in the world.
The Casablanca hub was created in 2013 with as founder a "Young Global Leader" of the World Economic Forum, Ismail Douiri.
