Nouaceur is equipped with a socio-cultural space

An educational, cultural, and museum space for the Resistance and the Liberation Army was inaugurated on Tuesday in Dar Bouazza, under the province of Nouaceur. The opening of this socio-cultural complex is part of the activities marking the 59th anniversary of the National Resistance Day, which coincides with the commemoration of the passing of the hero Mohamed Zerktouni and the 57th anniversary of the late HM Mohammed V's tribute at the tomb of this nationalist and martyr of the nation. This space was inaugurated by a delegation including, in particular, the High Commissioner for Former Resistance Fighters and Former Members of the Liberation Army, Mustapha El Ktiri, the Governor of the province of Nouaceur, Lahbil El Khatib, the President of the Dar Bouazza commune, former resistance fighters, local elected officials, and several other personalities. This structure includes, in particular, a pedagogical and cultural space, a library, a reading room, and a multimedia room, as well as a video library that allows visitors to watch documentary films on the history of the national struggle for independence, the places where the great battles led by former resistance fighters and former members of the Liberation Army took place. It also includes a room dedicated to academic support for students of the province, an exhibition of photos of the Alaouite Sovereigns, historical documents, manuscripts, and tools, weapons, and clothing used during the era of the national struggle for independence. The realisation of this project with the support of local authorities and associative actors aims to preserve the national memory and to highlight the epic of the Throne and the People for independence and national unity. This celebration of the National Resistance Day is an opportunity to remember the sacrifices made by the martyrs of the national struggle for freedom and a consecration of the values of loyalty and recognition to their souls.
