The Nouaceur province is on a roll. Attracting major projects as the days go by, the province is experiencing unprecedented growth, marked by a demographic surge breaking national records (10% against a national average of 1.4%). In order to accompany this evolution at all levels, the province today looks like an open-air construction site.
BouskouraAmong the major projects growing in the Nouaceur province, mention should be made of the Bouskoura water park, the construction of which is based on 3 hectares of land. The complex will house sports fields, swimming pools, and play areas. It is also indicated that greenery will have its say in the project. "This water park aims to provide a space for entertainment for the inhabitants of Bouskoura, known for its microclimate, as well as to enhance the resources of this city which have always contributed to its influence," it is indicated.
In parallel, the urban development of the centre of Bouskoura is not left out, since projects for widening roads, paving sidewalks, creating parking lots, resurfacing, and planting trees are on the horizon. The objective is to create organised urban fabrics at the urban planning and infrastructure levels.
Located in Bouskoura, the future green city covers an area of nearly 1,000 hectares. The objective of this extraordinary project is the creation of an ecological green city. This will house three golf courses respecting the environment and sustainable development thanks to the use of renewable energies. Furthermore, the watering of the golf courses will be ensured by treated wastewater from Deroua, where work is underway. Likewise, the construction of a treatment plant with a capacity of 2,900,000 m3/year for the treatment of wastewater is planned, as well as the construction of off-site drinking water works over a length of 6 km. The green city project also provides for the construction of access and road connections with the metropolis, two interchanges on the motorway, the doubling of the Sidi Massoud, Taddart, and Bouskoura roads, as well as the construction of structural roads within the city.
Dar BouazzaConsidered the lung of the metropolis, Dar Bouazza will inherit a corniche that has nothing to envy to that of its big sister Casablanca, the development of which is among the priority projects of the province. Correlatively, the construction of the south-west collector along the coastline proves to be essential, in order to guarantee quality sanitation for the communes of Dar Bouazza and Rahma, as well as the entire coastal zone. The investment will require a budget of 335 MDH and will benefit a population estimated at 250,000 inhabitants. The coastal road is also the subject of development work, through its widening from 7 to 14 m. The work also includes resurfacing, planting trees, public lighting, and the creation of promenade spaces. The challenge is to raise the level of this seaside city which experiences a large influx, not only in the summer period, but throughout the year.
The city of RahmaLaunched during the year 2007, the Rahma city project is today 80% valued, knowing that about 85,000 inhabitants are already settled there. These families are essentially composed of households transferred from Casablanca as part of the shanty town relocation programme. "The major concern of all stakeholders is to ensure the architectural harmony of the city, through rigorous monitoring to guarantee good urban quality. In parallel with the shanty town resorption projects, integrated large-scale social housing operations are underway, in order to satisfy the pressing needs of low-income populations," it is emphasised.
A new city in Ouled SalehThe objective of this project is to create a new integrated urban hub with all local facilities, in order to reduce the pressure on the Casablanca metropolis. The future city covers an area of nearly 500 hectares and should accommodate nearly 150,000 inhabitants. The project includes a villa, medium-standing, and commercial zone, the construction of which is underway, in addition to a zone essentially dedicated to social housing and shanty town relocation operations, as well as an industrial zone currently being developed to offer employment opportunities.
Midparc InvestWith an investment of 700 MDH, this industrial zone project in Nouaceur is part of the national pact for industrial emergence. It covers 141 hectares and will be built as an industrial platform with a free zone status dedicated to export. In parallel, a diversified recreational park (sports and cultural activities) will be built on 15 hectares with a view to contributing to the development of the young people of the city of Nouaceur.
Business card
Thanks to an area representing nearly 40% of the Greater Casablanca region, it contains strong development potential on all levels. The province is indeed experiencing very significant economic and social development. Its geographical location, which makes it a natural extension of the economic capital, also makes it a hub of attraction for investors of all kinds. Major projects are born here and there as the days go by. Also, the employment opportunities generated by the establishment of important industrial entities have favoured dizzying demographic growth, exceeding 10% while the national average is only 1.4%.
This unprecedented economic and social development has led to accelerated urbanisation at the level of the various communes falling under the Nouaceur province (Bouskoura, Dar Bouazza, Nouaceur, Ouled Saleh, and Ouled Azzouz). Likewise, the completion of important residential and industrial projects requires support in terms of basic infrastructure (roads, sanitation, drinking water, etc.) and local socio-economic projects. In this context, sustained efforts are constantly deployed for the completion of projects contributing to the improvement of citizens' living conditions throughout the province's territory.
