Customs services at Mohammed V Airport recently arrested a Nigerian national, who was about to board for Europe, with 64 capsules of cocaine hidden in his stomach. This attempt, which was carefully planned, was in principle supposed to take place last weekend, but it failed thanks to the professional targeting of passengers combined with state-of-the-art equipment used for the detection of narcotics. According to customs officials, the behaviour of the Nigerian passenger, who was in transit from Cotonou (Benin) and was supposed to go to Geneva, aroused the suspicions of the inspectors, who took him to the airport's medical unit for an ultrasound examination. The examination revealed the existence of 64 capsules of cocaine in his stomach, weighing a total of 1,240 grams of this illicit substance. The suspect was referred to the judicial police services of the Casablanca Security for further investigation into the ins and outs of this case.
