After the Addohr and funeral prayers at the Zaouya mosque in Nouaceur, the funeral procession headed towards the Sidi M'hamed cemetery where the deceased was buried.
The funeral took place in the presence of members of the deceased's family, advisors to the Sovereign, Omar Azziman, Abbas El Jirari, Taieb Fassi Fihri and Yassir Zenagui, and the Head of Government Abdelilah Benkirane.
Also attending the funeral were members of the government, former ministers, heads of political parties, local authorities and several other personalities from the world of the judiciary, trade unions and associations, as well as the Egyptian Minister of Justice, Adel Abdelhamid.
The attendees recited Quranic verses and offered prayers for the repose of the soul of the deceased. The Almighty was also invoked to welcome him into His Vast Paradise and grant him Mercy and Blessing.
In a funeral oration, the Minister of Justice and Liberties, Mustapha Ramid, stressed that the late deceased had dedicated his life to the service of justice, for the reform of which he had invested himself intensely.
The deceased was distinguished by his integrity, moral probity, seriousness and self-sacrifice, he added. The late Mohamed Taieb Naciri dedicated his life to justice, as a lawyer and then as a minister, indicated, for his part, the President of the Casablanca Bar Association, Omar Oudra, announcing that one of the rooms in the lawyer's house in Casablanca will henceforth bear his name.
Born in 1939 in Casablanca, the late Mohamed Naciri held the position of Minister of Justice from January 2010 to January 2012.
President of the Order of Lawyers at the Casablanca Bar, he was several times a member of the Council of the Order, then, in 1993, a member of the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court and, between 1994 and 1999, a member of the Constitutional Council.
Decorated with the Wissam Al Arch of the rank of Knight, he directed the "Gazette des Tribunaux" of Morocco for six years and published a "Practical Treatise on Civil Procedure", as well as numerous articles.
