The health offering has been consolidated in Fnideq with the inauguration, on Tuesday by H.M. King Mohammed VI, of the medico-social complex, which will undoubtedly contribute to guaranteeing access to quality health services and promoting the health sector in the city, comments the MAP. The inauguration by H.M. the King of this new medico-social complex illustrates the particular interest the Sovereign attaches to the health sector through the strengthening of hospital infrastructure and the consolidation of basic health services, according to the principles of proximity, efficiency and quality of services offered. The construction of university hospital centres, dispensaries and medico-social complexes has allowed a large segment of the population to access quality care, thus participating in increasing the number of beneficiaries of health services. After the metropolis of Tangier, it is the turn of the Tetouan region, more precisely the prefecture of M'diq-Fnideq, to benefit from health projects to meet the growing needs of the inhabitants of the north of the Kingdom, bridge the deficit in local equipment and strengthen social services. Bringing health services closer to citizens, strengthening the health offering and improving the quality of life of local populations, such are the main objectives of this complex which is part of the integrated economic and urban development programme of the city of Tetouan (2014-2018). The completion of this project reflects the particular interest granted by the Sovereign to the health sector, through the development of health infrastructure and the strengthening of local care provision in all regions of the Kingdom. Moreover, it translates the constant concern of the Sovereign to guarantee equitable access to care and to improve the quality of health services for the benefit, in particular, of people in precarious situations. Clearly, these efforts are the result of the convergence of well-designed public policies, capable of supporting sustainable development based on available activities and resources and ensuring a balance between economic progress and social equality in line with the great ambition that H.M. King Mohammed VI holds for Morocco.
