Bab Marzouka occupe en effet une vallée panoramique et fertile. C'est un centre commercial incontournable pour les habitants des Beni Wajjan, Sidi Ahmed ben Ahmed... L'arrière-pays est formé de montagnes escarpées dans la continuité du massif de Tazekka. Il est habité - en partie par des giyata (arabophones) - en partie par des béni warayen (amazighophones)
