Anzi is a rural commune that depends on the province of Tiznit in the Souss-Massa-Draa region. It is surrounded by small villages nestled in the mountains; the inhabitants of this commune live mainly from agriculture and livestock farming (primarily goats). The main fruit trees in the region are the argan, almond, and olive trees.
Due to several consecutive years of drought, a significant portion of its population has emigrated to large Moroccan cities such as Casablanca, Rabat, and Agadir, to work in trade or pursue other freelance activities.
