Agafay Trail: domination of Moroccan trailers and bikers

In the 30 km Bike category (men), a Moroccan trio distinguished themselves by taking the top three places, namely Othmane Rami (1st), Abdelfattah Rabiai (2nd) and Mohamed Hasbaoui (3rd), indicates a statement from the organisers.



Among the women, victory went to the Moroccan Fouzia Massaoui, ahead of her compatriots Kaoutar Bendoumou and Zineb Tabahate.

In the men's 60 km Bike race, the Moroccan Ilias Kakas climbed to the top step of the podium, ahead of his compatriots Abderazak El Hajouji and Yahya Benchekroun.

For his part, the Moroccan Ayoub Ahmed won the 42 km Trail race (men), ahead of the other two Moroccans Noureddine Ihamzad and Youssed Roumani.

On the women's side, the Moroccan athlete Aziza Raji took first place, ahead of her compatriot Mounia Dahou (2nd) and the Frenchwoman Alexia Le Moingne.

"Trailers and bikers, who came from the four corners of the world, discovered unique and demanding courses, revealing new facets of this enchanting place", reads the statement, adding that "with formats adapted to everyone, ranging from 10 km to 80 km, the Trail Agafay has managed to captivate participants of all levels".

"The sequence of the routes, carefully thought out, allowed for the revelation of a new dimension of this mythical desert, where every climb, every descent, and every turn told a story", continues the same source.

"This edition marked a key step in the promotion of Agafay as an unmissable destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts", adds the same source.
