Five people from the same family lost their lives in a fire that broke out on Sunday morning in a garage, converted into a place of business and residence, located in the basement of a building in the Sbata district of Casablanca, according to local authorities.

According to initial findings, this fire was due to a gas explosion that destroyed a mezzanine built inside the garage, causing the blocking of the access to the outside and trapping the family inside the premises.
