The avatar is the surname 'kong' in oracle bone script, the name I was given while studying Chinese at Middlebury under Professor Berninghausen, Bai Laoshi. It was heroin though, I don't know why they didn't just say it. Philip Seymour Hoffman, Hendrix — who was here — so many people died too young. Have you seen the documentary 'Amy' about Amy Winehouse? The stuff is crazy. The song "I'm trouble, I'm no good...", it's reminiscent of Marianne Faithful's 'Broken English' in it's sheer self-destructive intensity.  Il faut que je ne mange ni bois rien après minuit, ce que est difficile car je me réveille toute la nuit ayant soif. You know who's brilliant is the guy who was in Quills and in The King's Speech. On m'a offert des femmes, mais pas encore des jeunes fils, lol (c'est une anglaicisme pour ). Je commence à aimer ces gens. Il y en ont qui sont, comment dis-je? Inexorable, vous me comprenez? Eh?  Do you recollate when there's been a change? A change an addition a deletion a correction a punctuation alteration? You'd want some piece of software to compare the texts. More then just word count or the first and last alphabetic character of the passage. Would it create undue grief were I to go back and renew everything? I'm just curious. That kind of text editing can blind you. This btw is called 'self-referential'. Or even worse, 'narrative intrusion'. So if the government reads our text messages, does that constitute 'publication'? I'm trying to figure if I qualify for a neologism here. Probability not. I wouldn't be the first who thought of it. At best it's no more than a back formation. Safire wrote these columns "On Language" for the Times Sunday magazine. They were collected in books, curiously not particularly well written. Anyway it would be for him to adjudicate, posthumously. He was a god, and a conservative of the correct sensibilities. So many conservatives are simply ignorant bigots. But if you look at for example Buckley, or if you read the National Review, you find thoughtful sentiments well expressed. Ideas about shrinking the government, increasing individual liberties, progressive taxation and creating efficiencies. I'll be honest, I'm not following domestic politics so I can't evaluate the incumbent. But whether it's a cynical political move or no, this business of moving the embassy to Jerusalem will galvanize Jewish support instantly. I asked a buddy of mine who knows this part of the world if you tip here. He said "gently". Which is just like him playing the enigmatic smug conoscento. It's impossible not to tip profusely because nothing costs anything here. To leave any amount at all it has to be a huge percentage of the total. [You won't find I don't think 'conoscento' but you may find 'conoscenti'. Just back up to the masculine singular from there.] There's a sequence in War & Peace where the Prince — he's on a forced march — finally loses his shoes and is obliged to press on. Tolstoy describes in detail how mangled his feet get, what pain he endures. Not to compare myself to a dramatized historical personnage, but that's how I feel. The Google reviews are mediocre. I don't know why; the place is nice.
